- Under-mounted – Under-mounted sinks create a smooth look which blends with modern designs. The bowl is attached underneath a counter top. No sink rim shows above creating a seamless look.
- Integral – Both the sink and counter top are fabricated from the same material (for example, stone or solid surface). There are no visible seams on the surface. It is a sleek, modern and low maintenance design.
- Self-rimming or flush mounted – This sink has a rolled edge which is mounted over the counter top. Because the rim sits on top of the counter top, its overall dimensions are larger than that for the sink bowl.
