Kitchen remodels are expensive for sure. And you don’t want to spend buckets of money and end up with a sink that doesn’t do the job – either for utilitarian or visual design. There are plenty of styles to chose from. Just take your time and chose just the right one for your kitchen style and counter top

Here are five types of sink installations to choose for your kitchen:

  • Under-mounted – Under-mounted sinks create a smooth look which blends with modern designs. The bowl is attached underneath a counter top. No sink rim shows above creating a seamless look.
  • Integral – Both the sink and counter top are fabricated from the same material (for example, stone or solid surface). There are no visible seams on the surface. It is a sleek, modern and low maintenance design.
  • Self-rimming or flush mounted – This sink has a rolled edge which is mounted over the counter top. Because the rim sits on top of the counter top, its overall dimensions are larger than that for the sink bowl.
