If you are rummaging through a sale bin and find a gorgeous sheet without a size, what should you do? Take out your handy-dandy tape measure, of course, and find out. Don't know your queen from your full? Here is a guide to help:

  • Twin - 39 by 76 inches
  • Twin XL - 39 by 80 inches
  • Full or Double - 54 by 75 inches
  • Queen - 60 by 80 inches
  • King - 78 by 80 inches
  • California King - 72 by 84 inches

The Twin-XL and the California King are usually available with the fitted bottom sheet, the top sheet is usually unchanged from the twin or king

Some new mattresses have a deeper depth than older ones. Make adjustment when buying for standard (7-9 inches), deep (10-15 inches) or extra deep (15-22 inches) mattresses.
